Anodize Algaecide is highly active bactericide that slows down, kills, and prevents algae and fungal biofilm slime growth on the walls of the anodize processing tank. Mould is a form of fungus. The tank mould for typical anodizing tank has been identified as Fusarium oxysporum. Fungi like mould is known as eukaryotic, meaning they are complex micoororganisms with a distinct nucleus. This product will lose activity at ≤ pH 5 and in the presence of hydrogen peroxide at pH ≥ 10. This product is effective against aerobic, anaerobic, and H2S producing microorganisms and the odours they cause. The anodize algaecide has been designed with a buffered pH of 6 since the operating parameters of the anodizing solution is pH 5.5 to 6. See technical data sheet (TDS) for more information.
