AquastoundTM L-61 is nonionic surfactant, which provides excellent foam control and detergency. It provides better foam control than AquastoundTM L-62. Its low foam characteristics and inverse water solubility makes it an efficient foam control agent. This surfactant features excellent solvency and stability with low foam characteristics. It also includes thermal stability, and broad compatibility range with additives and miscibility in different organic liquids.
This surfactant is a liquid at room temperature and has no odour. Other benefits are; inert and pH stable, non-corrosive, safe to handle since it has high flash point and low flammability and it does not hydrolyze or become rancid in storage.
AquastoundTM L-61 is widely used as a detergent, emulsifier and dispersant, wetting agent, lubricant and coolant, demulsifier, antistatic agent and defoamer. It is used as a foam control applications in fermentation of lactic and citric acid, food processing, food washing, water treatment, and metal working products. Another application that AquastoundTM L-61 is particularly stellar is low foam wettting agent and rinse aids for autodish detergents, industrial and institutional cleaning, and cleaning-in-place (CIP) for food, dairy, and brewery cleaning.
