Aquastound™ LAS 90 is a linear alkyl benzene sulfonate white free flowing powder, which is more than 90% active, which is biodegradable and environmentally friendly with no solvents, no VOC's or hazardous air pollutants and dioxane free. It is an excellent detergent in both acid and alkali solution for removing grease from metal substrates, in which it has found favour in the metal cleaning industry. Aquastound™ LAS 90 has noted characteristics; superior detergency, rapid wetting, high foaming, excellent emulsification, great dispersion and decontamination properties. It has excellent rinising characteristics, removing all oily films and inorganic salts on treated surfaces.
It is used in laundry and dishwashing applications in the HI&IC, in industrial cleaners to remove soil and films that harbor surface bacteria and fungus. It is heavily used in the dairy industry for cleaning applications since it does not promote calcium deposits. In the surface finishing industry this surfactant promotes powerful grease cutting and rapid removal of oil for metal cleaning in both acid and alkali based formulations .
