Caustic Soda 50% Food Grade

Caustic Soda 50% Food Grade is a liquid solution of 50% of Sodium Hydroxide in water. It is widely used for cleaning in place and effectively removing organic soils and residues. It is an excellent neutralizer, cleaning and softening agent used in the food industry. 

Caustic Soda Solution, also called Lye-water is a key ingredient in the preparation of baked goods for crust formation, such as in bagels where it contributes to a shiny crust.
