Sodium metabisulfite is an effective sanitizer and cleaning agent for brewing and winemaking equipment, water purification systems and water treatment.
Sodium metabisulfite is effective in water treatment for the removal of excess chlorine from drinking water after treatment; steam boiler water treatment; removal of excess chlorine from wastewater.
It also has applications in gas purification, textiles and pulp processing. It is used in leather processing to make it soft, tough, and waterproof.
