Green-Bond™ Additive is a water conditioner for galvanized and steel substrates to ensure the integrity of the Green-Bond™ Trust. The Green-Bond™ Additive controls the metal ion contamination potential. The additive should be used only for galvanize and steel substrates in the range 30% to 34% by volume (ideally 32%) in the plating bath to enhance corrosion resistance of the coating providing better protection against rust and other forms of corrosion. It enhances the adhesion of the coating to the metal surface; higher amount yields greater adhesion. The uniformity of the coating can be improved with the right concentration of this additive. Too low a concentration might not provide the desired uniformity while too high a concentration can lead to over-precipitation and uneven coating. Green-Bond™ Additive can reduce the environmental impact of the coating process by minimizing the use of hazardous chemicals and promoting safer waste disposal. It complements the cleaning process for the galvanized and steel substrates by providing better wetting and rinsing results.
