Phosphoric acid 75% FG is used as a food additive to acidify various foods, such as meat, cheese, jam, and non-alcoholic beverages (Coke, soft drinks, etc.). It gives a sour and tangy taste. Various salts of phosphoric acid, such as monocalcium phosphate, are used as leavening agents in bread dough and cake flour. It is also used as a nutrients source for yeast in wine brewery.
Phosphoric acid 75% FG is used as a sanitizing agent in the dairy, food, and brewing industries. It may be used for dissolving mineral deposits and hard water scale on equipment and various surfaces especially in poultry, meat, and general food processing plants.
Phosphoric acid 75% FG is used as a pH adjuster in some cosmetics and skin-care products. It finds application especially in hydroponic greenhouses for lowering and stabilizing pH since it is excellent buffer.
It is also used in dentistry and orthodontics as an etching solution, to clean and roughen the surfaces of teeth.
