Sodium Persulfate is an important component of etching mixtures for zinc and printed circuit boards, as well as pickling of copper, nickel, and titanium. Sodium Persulfate is used in the development of dyestuffs and desizing and bleaching of textiles. Sodium Persulfate functions as a radical initiator for emulsion polymerizations of styrene based polymers, such as Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene, Poly(vinyl chloride), Acrylics.
It is also used in environmental remediation for soil, groundwater and wastewater.
